I think that I must be trying to think cool thoughts today! I used the Get Your Santa On stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today. It’s been HOT here in Atlanta this week and it doesn’t show any signs of cooling off any time soon. I’m ready for some fall weather!
My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #151.
I started by stamping the sentiment from the Good Greetings Host Exclusive stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel from the Trim the Tree DSP Stack. I adhered the panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then I stamped the little Santa suit, hat and the row of gifts from the Get Your Santa On photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on separate Whisper White panels. I colored the images with my Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Old Olive Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers, using the dark to light coloring method.
I adhered the two rectangular panels to panels of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.
Then I punched the little Santa Hat out with the 1″ Circle Punch and I adhered it with SNAIL to a 1-1/4″ Circle Punch from Cherry Cobbler card stock. I adhered the layered circle punches to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiments from the Get Your Santa On stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel, then added a strip of leftover DSP from the Trim the Tree DSP stack to the inside of the card.
Alright, I’m out running a little local 10K this morning as my post goes live. It’s an awesome way to start the holiday. Hopefully I won’t sweat to death! Good thing that it’s starting early. See you at the finish line! 🙂
