I used the Bright & Beautiful and Good Greetings stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share with you today. There is a new Stamping and Blogging sketch today so be sure to stop by the other Design Team Member’s blogs to see their projects.
My card design was inspired by the Stamping and Blogging SB76 sketch.
I started by punching along one side of a panel of Basic Black card stock with the Confetti Stars Punch. I adhered the punched panel to a panel of Brushed Gold card stock with SNAIL, then to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the two star images from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a Brushed Gold panel, sprinkled them with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them. I cut the to stamped stars and one additional Brushed Gold card stock star out with the Stars Framelits Dies.
I adhered the two larger stars with SNAIL to the card front, then adhered the smaller star with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I stamped the sentiment from the host exclusive Good Greetings stamp set (click here to read about how you can get this set for free through Oct 31) in VersaMark Ink on a strip of Brushed Gold card stock and I heat embossed it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
I punched the end of the sentiment strip with the Banner Punch, then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Basic Black Candy Dot from the Neutrals Candy Dots pack to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiment and star image from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

Very cool interpretation to use the stars in the sketch Amy. Love the theme carried through with the start border. Fabulous Christmas card.
Thanks so much Claire! 🙂
This is a stunning card! It is simple, yet elegant and absolutely gorgeous!! As usual awesome job. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Mary!! 🙂
Wonderful card Amy ! We had the same idea with the stars 😉
Thanks Marine! I need to go peek at your card, can’t wait to see it! 🙂
This is so clean and pretty Amy! Love the staggered Stars…..
Thank you Lee!
I bet this card is stunning in “person”….I just love the black and gold. And of course all the stars. Great job Amy, hugs from Shelagh.
Thanks Shelagh! You are right, the gold doesn’t photograph very well. I think it’s really pretty…but then, I’m a little biased. 😉
This is beautiful Amy!! I love the color combo and the fact that it differs from the usual Christmas cards.
Thanks so much Terri! I’m glad that you liked it. 🙂
Amy, I love this card! I think it’s so fun to make Christmas cards with non-traditional colors. I have to say I’m going to miss you at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday. I always enjoyed seeing each of the cards you created there with the rest of us. Guess I’ll have to start following you so I can still see your lovely creations. 🙂
Thanks so much Sara! I will definitely miss you all at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday too, what an awesome group of stampers! I hope to be back after the new year when life settles down a little. 🙂
What an beautifully elegant card Amy! One that makes you say “wow” when you would pull it out of the envelope. I love the way you used the stars punch at the bottom and the peek of the gold glimmer paper from underneath 😉
Thanks Jill, the gold looks so much prettier in real life. 🙂
Amy this card is absolutely Stunning and I love that you combined the new Star Confetti Punch with the Stars framelits, they look amazing together.
Thanks Sandi!! 🙂
