I used the Truly Grateful stamp set and a little of the Color Me Autumn DSP from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today. I’m starting to think that I might need an intervention…I can’t seem to stop using this designer paper!!
My card design is loosely based on the Mojo Monday 369 sketch. This was supposed to be a tall and skinny card, but I couldn’t get that to work with my design so I did a standard A2 size instead. 🙂
My card theme was inspired by The Card Concept 22. I chose to make a clean and layered card.
I started by inking up the woodgrain panel from the Truly Grateful stamp set in Soft Suede ink, stamping it on scrap paper, then on a panel of Naturals White card stock. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the images so that they were fairly straight. I inked up the acorn image in Early Espresso ink, stamped it off once, then stamped it on the lower corner of the panel.
I stamped the sentiment from the Truly Grateful stamp set in Cajun Craze ink over the acorn image, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL. I wrapped a strand of Early Espresso 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon around the panel and adhered it with SNAIL. I adhered a strip of the Color Me Autumn DSP to a strip of Soft Suede card stock, then to the stamped panel with SNAIL.
I stamped the round wood image from the Truly Grateful stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a Soft Suede panel three times, then stamped the acorn images in Early Espresso ink over the top. I punched the images out with the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch and layered them over a Circles Collection Framelits die cuts from Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL.
I adhered the layered acorn images to the panel with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and tied a bow. I adhered the layered panel to a Cajun Craze card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added a Cajun Craze Candy Dot (from the Regals Candy Dots pack) to the card front to finish it.
I adhered a strip of Color Me Autumn DSP to a strip of Cajun Craze card stock with SNAIL, then to a Naturals White panel on the inside of the card.
You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

Thanks Nelda, glad that you liked it! 🙂
Nelda had a great idea to use your card as a masculine birthday card! 🙂 I love your idea to put the acorns on the wood circle rounds, they fit perfectly, I wouldn’t have thought of that! Your color choices are fantastic Amy 🙂 And your herringbone wood pattern came out beautifully, that’s a tricky one to line up 😉
Thanks Jill! The herringbone background is a little trick to line up, but it was Stamp-a-ma-jig to the rescue! I love that little tool. 🙂
What a great card!
