Stampin’ Up! Seasonally Scattered Thanks & Blog Birthday Blog Candy!!

My little blog is turning 2 years old today!  I can hardly believe it, I never dreamed that when I started my blog that I’d have met so many great people online or that I’d have so many faithful followers.  It makes me smile every morning when I press that publish button knowing that my post is being delivered to your inboxes.  I want to say a big thank you to each and every one of you for making this such a fun “job”!!  🙂  I’ve got a little blog candy to share toward the bottom of this post so be sure to scroll down and check that out too!!

Okay, enough yapping…on to my card.  I used the Seasonally Scattered and Four Feathers stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.

Seasonally Scattered - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday 370 sketch.

And the colors for my card were inspired by Pals Paper Arts 226.

I started by adhering two panels of the Color Me Autumn DSP to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.  Then, I used Sponge Daubers to ink up the sentiment from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set in Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede inks and I stamped it on a panel of Naturals Ivory card stock.

Seasonally Scattered 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock that I’d punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I inked up the feather image from the Four Feathers stamp set with my Sponge Daubers and Soft Suede in Cajun Craze inks and stamped it on a panel of Naturals Ivory card stock.

Seasonally Scattered 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the image up again in Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede inks and stamped it on the same panel.  I cut the images out with the Feathers Framelits Die, then cut a feather from Soft Suede card stock with the same die.  I adhered the three feathers to the card front with SNAIL.

Seasonally Scattered 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front twice and tied a bow.  I adhered the card front to a Cajun Craze card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then finished off the card by adding a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel to one of the feathers.

Four Feathers - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the feather image again in Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze inks on a Naturals Ivory card stock panel inside the card.

  8. Happy blogging birthday, Amy! Love your work. My favorite birthday treat is either the “confetti” cake mix I used to beg my mother to make me or the shoofly pies I’ve asked for (and received) instead of cake since living in Amish Country. Haven’t had either treats for several years now. I aim to change that! 🙂
