Stampin’ Up! Sheltering Tree…In Pink!

I used the new Sheltering Tree stamp set from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog to create my card to share today.

My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #146.

And the colors were inspired by Just Us Girls #273.

I started by adhering a panel of Pink Pirouette DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL, then to a Chocolate Chip card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I sponged a panel from the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP (Sale-a-bration Item available Jan 6) with Crumb Cake ink and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I sponged a banner of Irresistibly Yours DSP with Blushing Bride ink that I’d created by punching the ends of the strip with my Hexagon Punch.  I adhered the banner to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the tree image from the Sheltering Tree photopolymer stamp set (available Jan 6) in Crumb Cake Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the leaf images once in Pink Pirouette ink and a second time in Blushing Bride ink, then stamped the swing image in Chocolate Chip ink on the tree branch.   I inked up part of the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and part of the sentiment in Blushing Bride ink and I stamped it under the tree image.  Then I adhered the panel to the card front with SNAIL.

I tied a bow with Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine through a button from the Artisan Embellishment Kit (available Jan 6), then adhered the button to the card front with a Glue Dot.  I punched hearts from Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette card stock with the Hearts Border Punch and adhered them with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue over the tree image and next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of the Pink Pirouette DSP to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  4. I wouldn’t have thought to put these 2 pinks together, but they work well on this pretty feminine tree, Amy! Beautiful layout! This is another stamp set I’ve been eyeing! So happy to have the catalogs early so I can take in all that’s new~

  5. This is such a sweet and pretty card. I really like how you did the sentiment in two colors to make it pop. Doing the leaves in two shades of pink really adds depth. One of my favorites from you!

  8. Great job with our inspiration photo this week! Your card is awesome! I made one similar to that a few weeks ago using the very old Stampin Up set, it was my first Stamp set I ever purchased…it’s called Branching Out…I do believe.
