I used the fun new Berry Basket Bigz L Die from the Stampin’ Up! 2015 Occasions Catalog to create a little valentine treat holder to share with you today.
The basket is really quick to put together, just cut the pieces twice (except for the handle) with the Berry Basket Bigz L Die (available Jan 6), adhere the border trim together, adhere the basket base together, adhere the border trim to the basket and add the handle!
I used the Kraft Card Stock for the basket base and handle and I used the Best Day Ever DSP (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 6) for the border trim. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the basket pieces, trim and handle together.
I adhered little pieces of Gold Sequin Trim with a Glue Dot to both sides. I tied bows from the Calypso Coral ribbon in the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 6), tied strands of Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine around them and adhered them with Glue Dots to the handles.
I stamped the little hearts from the Pictogram Punches stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored the small heart on the image with my Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker and punched them out with the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. I adhered them to the baker’s twine with a little tape.
I created a little filler for my basket by cutting up Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral and Kraft card stock with my Fringe Scissors. The completed basket measures about 4″ x 4″ wide and about 3-1/4″ tall (without the handle) so it’s a great size for little treats and gifts. I can’t wait to make some fun Easter baskets with it too!
