I used the Sale-a-bration exclusive stamp set called Lotus Blossom to create my card to share today.
The Lotus Blossom stamp set is so easy to use! I since it’s photopolymer, you can see through it to line up your images when you are stamping. To create the focal image, I inked up the smallest flower image (marked as #1 on the stamp set) in Crushed Curry ink and I stamped it on a Whisper White panel. Then I inked up the second smallest image (marked as #2 on the stamp set) with Crushed Curry ink and I stamped it over the first image.
Then I inked up the solid flower image (marked as #3 on the stamp set) in Crushed Curry ink, tapped it quickly on a piece of scrap paper to remove a little of the ink, then stamped it over the two other images. It creates a really neat, layered look with lots of pretty details and depth. I repeated the same process for all three flowers on my main panel. I used Pear Pizzazz ink for the stems and Soft Suede ink for the sentiment.
I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL, the wrapped a strand of Crushed Curry Ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (Sale-a-bration item) around the panel, adhered it with SNAIL and tied a bow. Then I added a pearl from the Artisan Embellishment Kit and I set the panel aside while I worked on the layers beneath.
I sponged a panel from the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP (Sale-a-bration item) with Soft Suede ink, adhered it to a Soft Suede card stock panel, then to a Pear Pizzazz card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I snipped off the edge of one of the doilies from the Artisan Embellishment Kit and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL, then adhered the stamped panel over the doily with SNAIL as well.
I stamped the Lotus Blossom image again on a Whisper White panel in Crushed Curry and Pear Pizzazz inside the card.
I had so much fun making the card in Crushed Curry ink that I recreated it in Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana to match the other two colors in the Best Day Ever Accessory Pack!

Such a pretty trio of cards!
Thanks so much Terri!
I have a list of items, but this flower was not on it, now I’m having second thoughts, Amy! Wow! This card in the crushed curry is so striking against the suede and pizzazz colors! I love it, beautifully done! Thank you for sharing your talent and love for stamping with us~
The flower wasn’t my favorite set when I first saw it…playing with it definitely changed my mind. I love it!! Thanks so much for your nice comments Roberta. Have fun making your list. 😉
OMGosh, Amy, those cards are absolutely gorgeous!! Just when I think one of your projects is “the best yet”, you always manage to outdo yourself!!! What a talent you have. I fell in love with the Lotus Blossom the minute I saw it, but you’ve shown me the awesome ways I can create with it! Thank you!! René (AKA RB’s Rock-n-Stamp on SCS)
Thanks so much Rene! I’m glad that you liked my projects today. 🙂
Hi Amy, I really enjoy your blog — beautiful projects that almost always end up pinned or saved. I’m sure these lotus blossom cards will be CASE’d!! Thanks for sharing. Sheila Tatum
Thanks so much for checking out my projects Sheila! I’m glad that you’re liking them. 🙂 Have fun making your Lotus Blossom cards!
These are such wonderful cards to make to thank others or just to make as a gift for someone. I love the detailed steps you gave for the two step stamping, I’m always thumbs at that, unless I have my trusty stamp-a-ma-jig 🙂 I am loving the photopolymer though, because it makes it so simple! I also love the colors you picked Amy, they just pop off the card! Another of my favorite things is the way you used the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP!! Oh boy, I can’t wait to try this technique out 🙂
I’m glad that you liked the cards Jill! The photopolymer does make it so easy to line up and stamp the images without the extra tools. It’s pretty awesome! And I’m in love with the Irresistibly Yours DSP!!! 🙂
