Stampin’ Up! Indescribable Gift Birthday Card

I used the beautiful flower image from the Indescribable Gift stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for the Stampin’ and Blogging Design Team today.  Be sure to stop by the other team member’s blogs to check out their beautiful creations with this sketch too!Indescribable Gift - Stamp With AmyK

Here is the Stamping and Blogging SB93 sketch this week, I hope that you’ll play along too!

Screen Shot 2015-02-24 at 3.17.49 PMThe colors for my card were inspired by Just Us Girls #281.

Screen Shot 2015-02-24 at 3.20.20 PMI started by inking up the raised part of the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder with my Brayer and Sahara Sand ink.  I carefully placed a panel of Very Vanilla card stock in the embossing folder and I ran it through the Big Shot.

I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Night of Navy card stock with SNAIL and to a Blushing Bride card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I stamped the flower image from the Indescribable Gift stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper.

Indescribable Gift 3 - Stamp With AmyK

I painted the flower images with my AquaPainter and Blushing Bride, Night of Navy and Sahara Sand inks, let the image dry completely, then I used my Silver Stampin’ Dazzle Marker and added just a touch of silver to the flower centers.  I cut the image out with one of the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and I adhered it with Fast Fuse to a circle that I’d cut with the next largest Circles Collection Framelits Die from Night of Navy card stock.  I adhered the layered image to the card front with SNAIL.

I cut thin strips from the Silver Foil Sheets, Blushing Bride DSP (from the Subtles DSP Stacks) and Sahara Sand card stock.  I punched each of the ends with the Banner Punch, then sponged a little Sahara Sand ink over the Blushing Bride DSP and I adhered the Silver Foil strip and the DSP strip with SNAIL to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the And Many More stamp set in Night of Navy ink on the Sahara Sand strip, wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around it and tied a knot, then adhered the sentiment strip to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I finished the card front by adhering three Pearl Basic Jewels to the flower image.

Spring Flowers Embossing Folder - Stamp With Amy K

When I was initially putting this card together, I’d started by inking the opposite side of my Spring Flowers embossing folder with Sahara Sand ink.  I decided that I didn’t care for that background behind the focal image, but I didn’t want it to go to waste, so I cut a strip off and adhered it to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.

Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the other Stamping & Blogging Design Team Member’s blogs to see what they’ve created with this sketch.
