Our blog hop has a birthday theme this month so I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Berry Basket Bigz L Die to create my projects to share today.

Butterfly Basics - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was loosely based on Retrosketches #154.

Screen Shot 2015-02-25 at 1.15.06 PM

I started the card by adhering a panel of the Something Borrowed DSP to a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock with SNAIL.  Then I folded a Tea Lace Paper Doily, adhered it to the panel with a little bit of SNAIL, then wrapped it around the back of the panel and adhered it with tape.  I adhered the layered panel to a Sahara Sand card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Butterfly Basics 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock, then I adhered it to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL.  I punched the end with the Hexagon Punch to create the banner and I adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

Butterfly Basics 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked up the butterfly image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in Blushing Bride ink, then used a Sponge Dauber to add a little Early Espresso ink around the edges.  I stamped the image on a panel of Whisper White ink, cut it out with the matching Butterflies Framlits Die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

Butterfly Basics 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a flower from the Blushing Bride Rosette Trim in the Artisan Embellishment Kit with a Glue Dot over the butterfly, then added one of the pearls from the Artisan Embellishment Kit to the center of the flower to finish the card front.

Butterfly Basics 5 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked up the butterfly image again in the same way and stamped it on a Whisper White panel inside the card, then added two strips of leftover Something Borrowed DSP that I’d punched with the Hexagon Punch to the panel as well.

Butterfly Basics 6 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the Berry Box Bigz L Die to cut Sahara Sand card for the berry basket.  I stamped the die cut pieces with the Hardwood image that I’d inked up with Sahara Sand ink.  I glued the bottom of the basket and the corners of the scallop trim pieces with just a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Butterfly Basics 7 - Stamp With Amy K

I tucked a piece of one of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies under the scallop trim and I used my Handheld Stapler to attach the scallop trim and doily to the top of the basket.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a strip of Pear Pizzazz card stock that I’d punched with the Hexagon Punch.  I also used the Handheld Stapler to attach the sentiment strip to the front of the basket.

Butterfly Basics 8 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut a butterfly with the medium size Butterflies Thinlits Die from Early Espresso card stock and I adhered it to the basket with Glue Dots.  I inked up the butterfly image from the Butterfly Basics stamp set the same way that I did for the card, cut it out with the matching die and adhered it with Glue Dots to the basket.  Then I added a flower from the Blushing Bride Rosette Trim and a pearl from the Artisan Embellishment Kit to finish the basket.
