I used the Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today. There are lots of birthdays coming up in my family, this one will be heading out to my brother soon!
My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 218.
The masculine theme for my card was inspired by Just Us Girls #283.
I started by trimming down a panel from the Adventure Bounds DSP Stack. To get the point, I simply measured 3/4″ from the end on the top and bottom of the panel, then found the center point along that edge. I used my trimmer to trim from the center point to the marks that I’d made at 3/4″. I cut a 1/2″ wide strip from the dark woodgrain sheet from the Adventure Bound DSP Stack and adhered it to the panel with SNAIL, then used my Paper Snips to cut the edge off even with the angle.
I stamped the sentiment from the Guy Greetings stamp set in Early Espresso ink on the DSP panel, then adhered the DSP to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL and to a Basic Gray card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the car image from the Guy Greetings stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a Sahara Sand panel and I heat embossed it with Early Espresso Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I colored the image with my Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate and Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Markers, then stamped the “brother” sentiment under the image in Sahara Sand ink.
I cut the stamped image out with a Circles Collection Framelits Die, adhered it to a 2-1/2″ Circle Punch from Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I pulled a strand of Linen Thread through an Early Espresso button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons pack, tied a knot on the back and adhered it with a Glue Dot to the card front.
I adhered a strip of the leftover Adventure Bound DSP to a Sahara Sand card stock panel inside the card.
You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

Important Update from Stampin’ Up!: Blendabilities Product Line Has Been Discontinued
Stampin’ Up! notified Demonstrators today that the Blendabilities product line has been discontinued. Stampin’ Up! provided the following notice:
A number of you have experienced quality issues with the Blendabilities product line, which has resulted in frustration. Due to the nature of the defect, we have concluded that difficulties, dissatisfaction, and product returns will only become more widespread. The manufacturer is unable to correct the problem in a manner that we are certain would meet our high quality standards and provide us with a stable, long-term solution. Therefore, after a great deal of deliberation and in order to prevent further disappointment, the Blendabilities product line has been discontinued.
I believe that everyone who was waiting for a set of backordered markers that were ordered through me has selected a replacement item so you won’t need to do anything. If you have not selected your replacement item yet, please let me know so that we can get your new items ordered and on the way to you.
Note: Due to the unavailability of the Blendabilities as part of the advertised Sale-A-Bration offering, some of the other 14 Sale-A-Bration products MAY run out. Stamp sets will be available through 3/31/15, but the other items MAY risk selling out and are only available while supplies last.

What a great looking guy card, Amy, and this sketch was the perfect choice since it just looks masculine (to me)! Even the button looks masculine the way you put the knot in the back. Your brother will appreciate no frills…. ; )
Thanks Roberta! I hope that my brother likes his card…I try hard not to put too many bows/ribbons/embellishments on the guy cards, but it’s difficult! 🙂
