I used the Love is Kindness and Six-Sided Sampler stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging sketch this week. Be sure to click on the links below to check out the projects that the other Design Team Members have created with this sketch!
Here is the Stamping and Blogging SB98 Sketch that my card was inspired by:
I started by adhering a panel from the Something Borrowed DSP pack to a panel of Sahara Sand card stock with SNAIL. Then I wrapped a strand of the Sahara Sand 7/8″ Lace Trim around the panel and I secured it on the back with tape.
I tied a little bow from Strawberry Slush Thick Baker’s Twine around the Sahara Sand Lace trim, then I adhered the layered panel to a Strawberry Slush card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I covered the sentiment on the Love is Kindness stamp with a Post-It Note and inked the image up with StazOn Jet Black Ink and stamped it twice (reinking between stamping) on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I colored the images with my Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe and Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Markers, then used one of the dies from the Squares Collection Framelits Dies to cut pieces out from the two images.
I stamped the sentiment from the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on one of the squares, then adhered the stamped squares to squares cut from Strawberry Slush card stock with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the card front to finish it.
I covered the sentiment again with a Post-It Note and inked the image from the Love is Kindness stamp in Strawberry Slush ink and stamped it on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

oh Amy, I love how you have the elements of the stamp positioned, it’s so very interesting and an awesome interpretation of the sketch, really nicely done.
Thanks Sandi! 🙂
Another great card Amy! I love that you changed the direction of the image on the squares to give them the illusion of tumbling down the card. The punch of strawberry slush makes me smile!
Thanks Dana…I am really going to miss those in colors. I have my fingers crossed that they’ll reappear in the next catalog! 🙂
Your sketch interpretations are always interesting. This card is very pretty!
