I used the Stampin’ Up! Undefined Stamp Carving Kit to create a personalized stamp last year around this time. For those of you who’ve been following along for awhile, you probably remember this card that I posted for World Autism Awareness Day last year. For those of you who’ve started following my blog more recently, you may not know that I have a daughter with autism. I carved a stamp just for her and I made another card with it to share with you for World Autism Day this year. 🙂
My card design was loosely inspired by the CAS(E) this Sketch #116.
I started by stamping the two sentiments and the heart images from the Hello Life photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Pacific Point ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock. The line on the “love” sentiment was just a little shorter than I wanted it to be, so I used the fine point of my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker to extend the line to the edge of the panel.
I used the oval template from the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack and my Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce two ovals above the sentiment. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Real Red cad stock with SNAIL, then to a Pacific Point card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I colored my stamp that I’d carved with the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Garden Green, Pacific Point and Elegant Eggplant Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I cut the heart out with my Paper Snips and adhered it with SNAIL to a heart cut from Real Red card stock with one of the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies.
I adhered the layered heart to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then pulled a strand of Whisper White Baker’s Twine through a Pacific Point button from the Brights Designer Buttons Pack, tied a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.
I stamped the heart image from the Hello Life stamp set in Pacific Point Ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card. I also extended the line on this image a little bit with my Pacific Point Stampin’ Write Marker.
If you haven’t tried carving your own stamp yet with the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit, you should! It’s a lot of fun and really easy too.

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog
Amy, I just love this stamp and card! I shared with you last year that my son also has autism and he’s always by my side doing artwork while I’m making my cards. I often think of the card you made last year for Autism Awareness; you made a big impression on my heart!!! I purchased the Undefined Kit so that I could carve something like this but I’m too intimidated to try it. Thanks for sharing another project with this beautiful stamp…it’s truly my favorite stamp!
Thanks Tricia! I love that your son creates his artwork while you’re stamping. My daughter LOVES to paint and her favorite spot to paint is outside at her little picnic table. 🙂 You really should give stamp carving a try. It’s much easier than you’d think it would be!
That is so beautiful on many levels! Your talents are unending! Your daughter is blessed to have you as a mom.
Awww, thanks Jari. 🙂
Beautiful card from a loving mom!
Thank you Diane!! 🙂
Love the way you celebrate the gift of your daughter in a card… So moved by this loving gesture!
Thanks so much Patricia. 🙂
Love your stamp. Wonder if this could be STampin Up’s ‘giving back’ one year.
Thanks Kathy! I sure hope that one day Stampin’ Up! will do that. Great idea!! 🙂
Yes, I remember the stamp well. Your stamp and card are a wonderful tribute!
Thanks Melanie!! 🙂
I love this stamp, you made it with YOUR heart and it is a phenomenal representation of Autism. Our lives are like puzzle pieces that go together, some just a little differently. I hope your day is full of smiles and giggles Amy 😀
Thanks Jill! 🙂
This made my heart happy! Beautifully done inside and out! I love that you turned the puzzle pieces into a heart! Your little ones have one special mom for sure!
Thanks so much Linda…that made me smile today. 🙂
