I used the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called Floral Wings to create my card for The Paper Players color challenge this week.
Be sure to stop by The Paper Players blog to check out the awesome projects created by the other Design Team Members. And be sure to play along too! 🙂 Here are the colors for PP253:
The layout for my card was inspired by Mojo Monday 405.
I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Fluttering Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with SNAIL, then to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered a panel of Mint Macaron DSP from the 2015-17 In Color DSP Stack to the embossed panel with SNAIL ,then I stamped the image of the leaves from the Floral Wings photopolymer stamp set in Mint Macaron ink across a wide strip of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the flower images in Smoky Slate ink along the vines, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Mint Macaron card stock with SNAIL.
I trimmed the ends of the wide strip at an angle, then stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand ink on the upper part of the panel. I adhered the stamped panel to the card front with SNAIL, then adhered one of the Metallic Foil Doilies to the lower right side of the panel with SNAIL.
I stamped the butterfly image from the Floral Wings stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, then stamped the flowers in Smoky Slate ink and the leaves in Mint Macaron ink and cut the image out with the Bold Butterfly Framelits die. I cut a butterfly from White Vellum card stock with the smaller butterfly in the Bold Butterfly Framelits die set and I adhered it with a Glue Dot to the center of the larger butterfly.
I pulled a strand of Whisper White Baker’s Twine through a Vintage Faceted Designer Button, tied a bow and adhered it over the vellum butterfly with a Glue Dot. I adhered the layered butterfly to the Metallic Foil Doily with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the vine and flower images from the Floral Wings stamp set in Mint Macaron and Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Whisper White inside the card.
