I used the Stampin’ Up! Acorny Thank You, Endless Thanks, Vintage Leaves and Joyful Season stamp sets to create my card for The Paper Players theme challenge this week. The challenge is to create a fall thank you card and this is mine.
Be sure to stop by The Paper Players blog to check out the awesome projects created by the other Design Team Members. And be sure to play along too! 🙂
My card design was loosely inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #210.
I started by inking the branch image from the Joyful Season photopolymer stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink, stamping it on scrap paper once and then stamping it on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.
I inked the leaf image from the Vintage Leaves photopolymer stamp set in Watermelon Wonder ink, stamped it off once, then stamped it on the Crumb Cake panel. I repeated this process a few times in Watermelon Wonder, Hello Honey and Tangelo Twist inks.
I stamped the sentiment from the Endless Thanks photopolymer stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink vertically near the leaves, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Chocolate Chip card stock with SNAIL and to a Hello Honey card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the acorn images from the Acorny Thank You photopolymer stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink on a panel of Crumb Cake Card stock. I punched the acorns out with the Acorn Builder Punch. Then I stamped the acorn tops in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock, sprinkled them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them. I punched the acorn tops out with the Acorn Builder Punch and adhered them with SNAIL to the larger acorns. I adhered the center acorn with SNAIL, the top acorn with Glue Dots and the bottom acorn with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a little Chocolate Chip ink with a Sponge Dauber to three of the leaves from the Into the Woods Elements, then adhered them to the acorns with Glue Dots.
I stamped the inside of the card with the Joyful Season branch, the Vintage Leaves images and added another Acorny Thank You acorn.
You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.
I opened up the patio door yesterday and couldn’t resist snapping a couple of pictures of the beautiful fall leaves in our back yard to share with you too. 🙂
The leaves are just starting to turn here and they’re falling from the trees so quickly that it looks like it’s raining leaves!
