Stampin’ Up! Sunburst Sayings CAS Thanks

I used the Stampin Up! Sunburst Sayings stamp set to create a clean and simple thank you card to share today.

Sunburst Sayings - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #157.

Screen Shot 2016-01-29 at 9.59.30 PMI started by cutting a large panel of scrap card stock with the Sunburst Thinlits Die.  I cut the panel so that none of the die edges were overlapping the edge of the card stock so that it would create a mask.

I placed the mask on a panel of Whisper White card stock and I sponged Daffodil Delight ink over the center of the sun.

Then I punched a cloud with the Tree Builder Punch from Whisper White card stock.  I used the “negative” left behind after the punch to sponge Soft Sky ink in a cloud shape on the Whisper White card stock panel.  I sponged a little around the edge of the cloud punch with Soft Sky ink and I placed it on the Whisper White panel and adhered it with a tiny bit of SNAIL, just enough to hold it in place while I stamped over it.

Sunburst Sayings 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Sunburst Sayings stamp set in Soft Suede ink over the cloud image and the Whisper White panel using the MISTI (or you can use a Stamp-a-ma-jig as well).  I removed the cloud punch and re-stamped the sentiment so that it did not have a gap in the line.  I adhered the cloud punch pack in place firmly with SNAIL, then adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.

I adhered the layered panel to a Soft Sky card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel to add a little sparkle.

Sunburst Sayings 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the sunburst and cloud masks to sponge a little Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede inks on a Whisper White panel.  Then I colored the sentiment from the Sunburst Sayings stamp set with Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on the Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Such a bright and beautiful card — wish it would make the rain go away! 🙂 What an awesome CASE, like the way used your negatives Amy. Sometimes I forget this technique. I’ve been thinking about this Sunburst die…hmm, what would Amy think?! 😛
