Stampin’ Up! Easter Lamb for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Easter Lamb and Honeycomb Happiness stamp sets to create my card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week.

Easter Lamb - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the sketch for Sunday Stamps SSC120.  Be sure to stop by the Sunday Stamps blog to check out what the other Design Team Members have created and be sure to play along too!

The colors for my card were inspired by Pals Paper Arts PPA287.

I started by adhering a panel from the Wildflower Fields DSP (Sale-a-bration item) to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock with SNAIL, then to a Lost Lagoon card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Easter Lamb 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched the end of a strip of Calypso Coral card stock and a strip of Wildflower Fields DSP with the Banner Triple Punch and I adhered them to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in Basic Black Archival Ink on a panel of Lost Lagoon card stock, punched it out with the 2-1/2″ Circle Punch, then adhered it to a Calypso Coral circle cut with a Circles Collection Framelits Die with SNAIL and to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Easter Lamb 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the image from the Easter Lamb stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the little bits on the lamb with my Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker and the grass with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.  I cut the image out and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

Easter Lamb 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I pulled a strand of Calypso Coral Thick Baker’s Twine apart and threaded 4 of the strands through a Whisper White button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons Pack, tied a bow and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.

Easter Lamb 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the Wildflower Fields DSP to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Happy Valentines Day–sending you love today for sharing your marvelous talent with us daily and for all the wonderful ideas! Again, your card is cute cute cute and your take on the sketches spot on! Thanks for sharing and hope you feel the love!

  2. Amy, I adore this lamb and you snipped it out to perfection. It looks like you had a die to match. I will be CASE’ing this card for Easter.

  3. Amy, what a great card! Love the repetition of color within the circles and banners. But what I love most is that you snipped the lamb out and away from the Happy Easter sentiment. Why? Because you have shown me how sweet a welcome baby card this would make. I have this but not sure I have put it together yet. If not, I am cutting away the sentiment and placing it on a scrap wood block. Thanks for the idea! I am so very glad you played along with my color challenge in this week’s PPA. I always look forward to your entries… you never disappoint!! See you again soon….

    • Thanks so much for stopping by to leave a comment Katy! Glad that you are planning to cut up your stamp…the little lamb is too cute to use just for Easter! Have fun stamping!! 🙂

  5. Sweet card and love the mix of DSP. The lamb is great snipped out, too! Thanks for joining the Pals color challenge this week!

  6. Another home run Amy! I love the way you layer and choose your main images from the sketch/challenges, brilliant (and cute, lol)! 🙂

  7. What a perfect way to draw all of our attention to the sweet little lamb! I love this little stamp! And your coloring of the grass and cheeks ~ wow! Thank you, Amy, for joining us this week for our Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge!

  8. Totally cute card, Amy. Love the simple coloring you’ve added to that adorable sheep and the way you’ve utilized all the challenge colors. The Designer Series Paper in the background, though, is a stroke of genius. It works perfectly with that little guy. Thanks for sharing with Pals Paper Arts.

  9. How sweet! I absolutely love how you paired this adorable guy with this background paper. Perfect pairing! Wish I’d thought of that first. Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge.

    • Thanks Beth! I actually found a little die that matches the lamb image perfectly…my fussy cutting skills are terrible! I always chop off an ear or a foot when I don’t mean to. I’ll drop you an email with the details about it. 😉

  10. Love how you cute around the image, and you did a great job with this weeks sketch challenge using PPA colors. Very cute!
