Stampin’ Up! Clean and Simple Thanks

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hello You Thinlits Dies and a little of the Color Me Irresistible Speciality DSP to create my card to share today.

Botanical Blooms - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #160.

The colors for my card were inspired by Just Us Girls #331.

Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 11.43.53 AM

I started by pulling out my Sponge Daubers and Night of Navy, Island Indigo and Bermuda Bay inks.

Botanical Blooms 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I used the Sponge Daubers to dab the inks on a panel of Color Me Irresistible Speciality DSP.  I added one color at a time and wiped the excess ink off the pre-embossed stripes on the panel with a paper towel in between the colors.

Botanical Blooms 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut the thanks sentiment twice with the Hello You Thinlits Dies from Night of Navy card stock.  I stacked the two die cuts on top of each other, adhering them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I brushed Clear Wink of Stella over the die cuts for a little shimmer and I adhered them to the panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Botanical Blooms 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the sponged panel to a Thick Whisper White card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then wrapped a strand of Bermuda Bay 1/8” Stitched Ribbon around the card front and tied a bow.  I added a rolled up Glue Dot under the bow to hold it in place.

Botanical Blooms 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the line image from the Botanical Blooms photopolymer stamp set in Night of Navy on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Pretty card Amy, those colors are great together. I had a similar idea for the same two challenges, except for the Color Me paper, great way to make the lines. Definetly happy to see it done even if it wasn’t by me. Need to get some of that paper.

  2. Just linked up my card over at CAS(E) This Sketch today and saw yours in the gallery and was tickled by how ‘similar but different’ our cards are this week so had to pop by and leave you some love! I adore the blue ombre and the bow – gorgeous!

  3. Wooow, really LOVE this card!! The beautiful blues and your little Wink of Stella. So classy and elegant and fun too 🙂 Definitely in my gotta CASE!

  4. Love all your cards and CASE as many as I can. Do so appreciate the instructions you give. Did you coordinate your blouse with today’s card or did that happen by accident?
