Stampin’ Up! You’re So Lovely Wreath

I used the Stampin’ Up! You’re So Lovely stamp set to create a clean and simple card to share today.

You're So Lovely - Stamp With Amy K

My card design is loosely based on Freshly Made Sketches #227.

And the colors for my card were inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments #233.

Screen Shot 2016-03-13 at 6.29.29 PM

I started by inking the circle image from the You’re So Lovely photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink, stamping it on scrap paper, then stamping it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I repeated that process to stamp a second circle slightly offset from the first.

You're So Lovely 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the leaf images from the Botanicals For You stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in Pear Pizzazz ink over the circle images.  I covered the arrows on the sentiment stamp from the You’re So Lovely stamp set with a Post-It Note, then inked the image in So Saffron ink.  I removed the Post-It Notes and stamped the sentiment on the panel.

You're So Lovely 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut flowers from Calypso Coral and So Saffron card stocks with the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, adhered them together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then to the card front with Glue Dots.  I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of each flower, then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel and tied a bow.

You're So Lovely 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of So Saffron DSP from the Subtles DSP Stack to a Thick Whisper White card base with SNAIL, then adhered the stamped panel over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish the card front.

You're So Lovely 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of So Saffron DSP to a Whisper White panel on the inside of the card.

  1. I agree with everyone above, awesome simply elegant Spring card! I would love to peek in your brain to see your thought process when you pick sketches and challenges and then create a card around them. I am boggled by your creative process, I am strictly a CASE girl. So glad you come up with these beautifully crafty cards for me Amy, lol 😉

    • Thanks Jill! I’m not sure if you’d want to see inside my little brain. 😉 I generally start by looking at the sketch, then looking through my stamp sets to see what stamp set that I think will work best with it. From there, I just run with it! Sometimes they turn out and other times it’s back to the drawing board. 🙂

  2. This is so sweet and pretty! I love how you made the wreath with this stamp, and the flowers are the perfect finishing touch. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches again this week!

  3. Ahh, Amy the Enabler strikes again!! Just when I thought I knew the SU catty like the back of my hand, you go and use a set I guess I never even noticed. This card is so pretty!

  4. Simply beautiful! I love the flowers and the little bit of linen thread…perfect! Thanks for playing along at HSS!
