Stampin’ Up! A Nice Cuppa for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

I used the Stampin’ Up! A Nice Cuppa stamp set to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to play along with this week and this is what I created for it:

A Nice Cuppa - Stamp With Amy K

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

Mar 24

I started by adhering a panel from the Have A Cuppa DSP Stack to the front of a Wisteria Wonder card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using liquid glue gives you a little wiggle time before it’s set permanently so that you can make sure that everything is lined up perfectly.  🙂

A Nice Cuppa 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut the teapot out with the Cups & Kettle Framelits die from a panel of Have a Cuppa DSP and adhered the pieces with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the A Nice Cuppa photopolymer stamp set in Wisteria Wonder ink on the Whisper White panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Wisteria Wonder card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A Nice Cuppa 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched four branches from Wild Wasabi card stock with the Bird Builder Punch, snipped the long ends off them and adhered them over the teapot with Glue Dots.  I punched several flowers with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punch and adhered them with Glue Dots over the leaves, then added a Pearl Basic Jewel (on sale this week!) to the center of each flower.

A Nice Cuppa 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I tied a loose bow with Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon, then slid a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine through the back of the bow.  I tightened up the bow, then tied one of the Have a Cuppa Embellishments to the bow with the Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  I trimmed the twine very close to the bow and adhered the bow to the panel with a Glue Dot.

A Nice Cuppa 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the Have a Cuppa DSP to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. I’ve never seen such a pretty teapot, Amy! Your paper pieced teapot and pearled flowers make this extra special…..the dp around the edges looks really sharp not allowing the solid base to show~

  2. ah amy, what a totally cute idea for a card, I absolutely LOVE it, and great use of the coordinating designer paper too

  3. So pretty! I have a SIL in England who will LOVE this card. And here I thought I didn’t need this set…😊

  4. Wow! Love the patterns on your flowers, I thought you might have done it with a gel pen. You really gave them so much dimension and they look like real flowers in a pretty teapot 🙂 Nicely done Amy!

  5. Such a gorgeous card – I love everything you have done! There’s a link on my blog to the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Don’t know if SU! has rules about this, but if you enter it on Friday before 5pm PDT, only on Friday, you’ll be eligible for nice prizes drawn at random. The hop is open to anyone, any products, with a coffee, tea or hot chocolate theme and an element of spring. I think this qualifies! You do not have to be a member of the FB group to participate or win.
