I used the Stampin’ Up! Marquee Messages stamp set from the upcoming 2016-17 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop. We got this stamp set at the OnStage Live Event that we attended last week!
We’ve got a color challenge to play along with this week and this is what I created for it:
Here are the colors that we’re playing along with this week:
I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. I inked my Brayer with Soft Suede ink, rolled it across scrap paper a few times to lighten the ink, then gently rolled it across the embossed panel. I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL, then to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the frame images and Birthday sentiment from the Marquee Messages photopolymer stamp set (available June 1) on panels of Pool Party, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede card stocks. I cut the images out with my Paper Snips, then adhered them together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I stamped the “It’s Your” sentiment from the Marquee Messages stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink inside the frame, then adhered the layered frame to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the star image from the Marquee Messages stamp set on the back of a panel of Gold Glimmer paper and snipped them out. I adhered them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiments from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set in Soft Suede ink and the stars from the Marquee Messages stamp set in Pool Party ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.
And here is a little peek at the new stamp set! You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.
