Stampin’ Up! Playful Backgrounds Hooray Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Playful Backgrounds and Watercolor Words stamp sets to create a clean and simple card to share with you today.

Playful Backgrounds - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #177.

And the theme for my card was inspired by The Paper Players PP300.

I started by stamping the solid circle image from the Playful Backgrounds photopolymer stamp set in Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I stamped the open circle image from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on the panel.

Playful Backgrounds 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Watercolor Words photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink on the Whisper White panel, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock with SNAIL and to a Flirty Flamingo card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a single Bermuda Bay enamel star from the Brights Enamel Shapes pack next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

Playful Backgrounds 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the images from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set in Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock, adhered it to a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock, then to the inside of the card base.

  1. Oooh, really like the Playful background stamps! I am a little OCD about things lining up, but it really looks so cool the way it’s a little off and yet together. Not sure if I can convey what I mean into words, lol 🙂 Any tips, or did you just go for it? Love your color choices too Amy 😀 Bright and happy!!

    • Thanks Jill! I am extremely OCD about lining things up, but I just started stamping the circles. The only tip that I have is to turn the stamp as you stamp across the paper so that you get different circles as you go, but that’s it! The card came together really quickly. 🙂
