Stampin’ Up! Basket For You With Birds & Blooms

I used the Stampin’ Up! Basket For You host exclusive stamp set, Feather Together stamp set and the Birds & Blooms die set to create my card to share today.  This beautiful Basket For You stamp set is available for purchase with Stampin’ Rewards when your order or party goes over $150.

Basket For You - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Global Design Project GDP#042.

Screen Shot 2016-06-28 at 10.09.22 PM

I started by placing three of the feather images from the Feather Together photopolymer stamp set on an acrylic block then stamping them several times in Mint Macaron ink across a Mint Macaron card stock panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL, then to a Crushed Curry card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a circle from Very Vanilla card stock with one of the Layering Circles Framelits Dies, then inked the flower image from the Basket For You photopolymer stamp set in Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron inks.  Since I could see through the stamp, I could tap part of the image in one color and tap the other part in the second color.  I stamped the flower image on edge of the circle three times, reinking between each image, then I used a Blender Pen to add a little Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron and Soft Suede inks to the images.

I sponged the edges of the die cut circle with Soft Suede ink, adhered it to a Soft Suede circle cut with the next larger Layering Circles Framelits Die with SNAIL, then adhered the layered circles to the card front with SNAIL.

Basket For You 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I cut the larger bird from Crumb Cake card stock with the Birds & Blooms Thinlits Die, sponged the edges and wing with Soft Suede ink, then adhered it to the card front with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment banner from the Baskets For You stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock, cut it out with the matching Bunch of Banners Framelits Die, sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink, then adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

Basket For You 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked the sentiment banner from the Basket For You stamp set in Mint Macaron ink, then carefully inked the outline of the banner with Soft Suede ink.  I stamped the sentiment on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, then cut it out with the Bunch of Banners Framelits die.  I sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink and layered the banner over the Crumb Cake banner with SNAIL.  I added a single Crushed Curry enamel dot from the Regals Enamel Shapes pack to the sentiment banner to finish the card front.

Basket For You 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the Basket For You stamp set in Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron inks on a Very Vanilla card stock panel, then added a little die cut bird from Crumb Cake card stock using the Birds & Blooms Thinlits die to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Super cute focal point for your card. I like your color choices. I also like the way you offset the two banners.

  2. Love, love this! That bird over the flowers is just perfect and the best take of all on that sketch! TFS

  3. OMG Amy! I just ran to the catalogue to check out that bird die. Why had I not noticed it before? I love how you have teamed it with the feathers stamped background. Fantastic use of the sketch. Thanks for playing with us at Global Design Project.

  4. So sweet – I love how you used the flowers and the cheerful color. I played with the bird just this morning and just love him. I am not a feather fan, but your background is amazing – just love it all!
