I used the Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set, Labeler Alphabet stamp set and Spooky Fun stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I created for it.
Here is the sketch that we’re using this week, I got a little “creative” with the layout. 🙂
I started by cutting a panel of Always Artichoke card stock with the tree die from the Halloween Scene Edgelits Dies set (available Sept 1). I cut a panel of Cajun Craze card stock with the fence die from the Halloween Scene Edgelits Dies set and then adhered both die cut panels to a panel of Crushed Curry card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The liquid glue gave me a little wiggle time to get everything lined up.
**Quick Tip for using Edgelits Dies: Cut the base panels larger than need for the actual card. Cut the panels with the dies and layer them over top of each other and adhere them together. Trim off any overhang once the panels are adhered together. This makes sure that your layers and edges are straight. 🙂
I stamped the sentiment with the Labeler Alphabet photopolymer stamp set in Always Artichoke ink on the Cajun Craze panel and then adhered the layered panels to a panel of Perfect Plum card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the layered panel to an Always Artichoke card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the scarecrow and crow images from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set (available Sept 1) in Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of watercolor paper and I watercolored them with Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum and Crushed Curry inks and my Aqua Painter. I punched the scarecrow out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and snipped the crow out with Paper Snips. I adhered both images to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the pumpkin image from the Spooky Fun photopolymer stamp set (available Sept 1 in a bundle with the Halloween Scene Edgelits Dies for 10% off!) in Basic Black Archival ink on a panel of watercolor paper. I used Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke inks to watercolor the image. I cut the image out with the matching Halloween Scene Edgelits Die and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card front. I added a Halloween Night Enamel Dot (available Sept 1) next to the sentiment to finish it.
I stamped the little scarecrow image from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set in Always Artichoke ink on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.
