Stampin Up! Totally Trees for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner

I used the Stampin’ Up! Totally Trees stamp set from the 2016 Holiday Catalog (that is live today for ordering!!) to create my card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I created for it…I will say, this sketch had me stumped for a bit.  🙂

Totally Trees 1 - Stamp With Amy K

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week…if you look at it with one eye sort-of open you can see the sketch in my card.  😉

Sept 1 - 2016

I actually made two different versions of this.  I wasn’t sure whether the leaves on the trees looked strange with the more solid tree images, so I did one with just solid tree tops too!

Totally Trees - Stamp With Amy K

I started by stamping the tree images from the Totally Trees photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink across a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I stamped some of the images at full strength and some without reinking.

Totally Trees 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the tree top images from the Totally Trees stamp set in Delightful Dijon, Old Olive and Cajun Craze inks over the Soft Suede images.  I stamped some full strength and some without reinking.  I inked up half of the sentiment from the Acorny Thank You Photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink and the other half in Delightful Dijon ink and I stamped it on the lower right corner of the Very Vanilla panel.

Totally Trees 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Delightful Dijon card stock with SNAIL and then to a Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Cajun Craze enamel heart from the Regals Enamel Shapes pack next to the sentiment to finish it.

Totally Trees 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped a little tree with the Totally Trees stamp set and Soft Suede and Delightful Dijon inks on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

  1. I just hopped all the way around and I’m amazed at the beauty of the cards and the creativity in the designs. Almost all of you said you were initially stumped by the sketch but all of you created awesome cards! What fun! Couldn’t wait to see what the next Happy Stamper shared and wasn’t disappointed at all!

  2. HI Amy, I just missed ordering this wonderful set from the Occasions catalog. If you decide to sell it please let me know. My demonstrator has put out a shout out for the set but no luck. I just love it! Your cards are special.
    Thank You.
