Stampin’ Up! Joyful Nativity for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBannerI used the Stampin’ Up! Joyful Nativity and Star of Light stamp sets to create a Christmas card for the Happy Stampers blog hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and here is the card that I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The design for my card was loosely inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #194.

I started by stamping the Joy sentiment from the Joyful Nativity photopolymer stamp set in Emerald Envy ink on a panel of Mint Macaron card stock.  Then I stamped the swirl image from the Star of Light photopolymer stamp set in Mint Macaron ink over the lower part of the sentiment.

I stamped the star image from the Star of Light stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink in the center of the “o” in the sentiment.  Then I stamped the smaller star image from the Star of Light stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I sprinkled the smaller star image with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I cut the small star image out with the matching Starlight Thinlits Die and adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue over the center of the stamped star.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock with SNAIL and then added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the star.

I adhered a panel from the Presents & Pinecones DSP to a Mint Macaron card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the focal panel over the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and swirl images from the Star of Light stamp set in Emerald Envy and Mint Macaron inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. Oh wow, I love the swirl! It would work great with a Santa or even a Snowman. Makes me think of the OLD movie The Legend of Frosty 😉

  2. So sweet Amy, I love the simplicity but at the same time all the details like the swirl stamp in the background. What a wonderful card!
