Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Sleigh Christmas Tree

I used the Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Sleigh stamp set to create a non-traditional Christmas card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #260.

I started by embossing a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and then I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Real Red card stock with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Real Red Baker’s Twine from the Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine pack around the panel twice, threaded a Mini Jingle Bell through the twine and tied a bow.  I adhered the layered panel to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking photopolymer stamp set in Bermuda Bay and Real Red inks and stamped it on a strip of Whisper White card stock.  I punched the end of the card stock strip with the Banner Triple Punch, adhered it to a strip of Real Red card stock that I’d also punched with the Banner Triple Punch with SNAIL and then adhered the layered banner to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the tree image from the Santa’s Sleigh photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Pool Party card stock, sprinkled it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I cut the tree out with the matching Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I cut four stars from Silver Foil Sheets with the star die from the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits dies and adhered them with Glue Dots to the tree.

I stamped the bow image from the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Silver Foil Sheets, sprinkled it with Real Red Glitter Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I used a red Sharpie Marker to color the inside of the bow, then cut it out with the matching Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits die.  I adhered the bow to the top of the tree with a Stampin’ Dimensional that I’d cut in half.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set in Bermuda Bay in on a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the star from the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set in Real Red ink under it on the inside of the card.
