Stampin’ Up! Totally Trees Winter Peace Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Totally Trees stamp set and Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies to create my card to share today.

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 307.

307

I started by stamping the image from the Hardwood stamp in Crumb cake ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  I adhered the stamped panel to another panel of Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL and then to a Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the tree image from the Totally Trees photopolymer stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Soft Sky card stock.  I stamped the tree image twice full strength and three additional times without reinking.  Then I stamped the bird image from the Totally Trees stamp set in Basic Gray ink on one of the branches.  I colored the little bird with a Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker.

I stamped the snow image from the Totally Trees stamp set in VersaMark ink over the Soft Sky panel, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I used the top of the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits die to trim a panel of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and I adhered it to the Soft Sky panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a panel of Real Red Glimmer Paper with the Christmas Greeting Thinlits Die and adhered it over the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I did have to hold this for about 30 seconds before it adhered the two panels together.  Then I adhered the stamped panel to a larger panel of Soft Sky card stock with Stampin’ Dimensionals and to the card front with SNAIL to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Pines photopolymer stamp set in Real Red ink on a panel of Crumb Cake card stock.  Then I stamped the tree and bird images from the Totally Trees stamp set in Soft Suede and Real Red inks to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Oooh, love the way your card makes me remember the hushed mornings when it’s snowed 🙂 The pretty blue sky, falling snow, and a bright red cardinal in the tree are perfect against the wooden panel. Great pop for the “peace” too.

This is our last day before Thanksgiving holiday off school. I don’t know if that’s a good thing though, lo 😉

  2. I love this card Amy – all the elements work perfectly together. It reminds me of our first snowfall over the weekend – bare trees with little blue jays fluttering around, and the snow just falling steady. Have a great day! 🙂
