Stampin’ Up! Carousel Birthday Sneak Peek

I used the Stampin’ Up! Carousel Birthday stamp set from the upcoming 2017 Occasions Catalog to create my card to share today.

And speaking of the upcoming catalogs, if you are a current customer of mine and have not received your copies of the Occasions and/or Sale-a-bration Catalogs, please drop me a note so that I can get another copy in the mail to you.  It’s an awesome catalog so I want to make sure that you’ve got it!  🙂

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #268.

I started by adhering a panel from the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack (available Jan 4) to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL and then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered a smaller panel from the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack to a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the carousel image from the Carousel Birthday stamp set (available Jan 4) in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I colored the sentiment from the Carousel Birthday stamp set with Bermuda Bay and Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it below the carousel image on the Very Vanilla panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the carousel image from the Carousel Birthday stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a separate panel of Very Vanilla card stock and I cut it out with a Layering Circles Framelits die.  I stamped the cupcake images in Early Espresso and So Saffron inks on corresponding panels of card stock.  I cut the images out with the Up & Away Thinlits Dies (available Jan 4) and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To make it a little easier to adhere the cupcakes together and to the card front, I actually peeled the top tape off the Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhered the little cupcake pieces to the Dimensional.  I lifted the Stampin’ Dimensionals off the sheet and adhered it, with the cupcake already on top, to the card front.  I added a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I inked the carousel image from the Carousel Birthday stamp set again ink Early Espresso, stamped it on scrap paper twice and stamped it on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock inside the card.

  1. What a sweet card you made. I didn’t get a catalog yet, but am looking forward to it. May get it today.

It amazes me how you can make such pretty cards from just looking at a sketch. This is the hard part for me.

That’s why I love getting your cards as I can case them.

    Gloria

  2. Absolutely awesome card Amy! I am loving the detail in this stamp set. Yum, the cupcakes look delish 😉

I love the Occasions catalog and my list just grows every time I go through it, lol! 🙂
