Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all using something from either the new Occasions or Sale-a-bration Catalog and  I have chosen to to feature the new Double Take stamp set for my project.

The colors for my card were inspired by TGIFC #89.

I started by adhering a panel from the Tasty Treats Specialty DSP to a Pool Party card base with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Flirty Flamingo 3/8″ Ruched Ribbon around the card front and adhered it with SNAIL (had the ends meet in the area that would be under the focal panel).

I cut a Lace Doily in half and adhered the half doily to the card front with a little SNAIL (also hidden under the panel).  I coiled up a length of Silver Metallic Thread and adhered it with Glue Dots over the Lace Doily.

I stamped the sentiment from the Double Take photopolymer stamp set in Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo inks and then stamped the sentiment from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set in Pool Party ink under it.  I inked the large paintbrush image from the Happy Celebrations photopolymer stamp set in Pool Party ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the sentiment panel.

I adhered the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three silver enamel stars from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack randomly over the card front.  I tied a small bow with the Flirty Flamingo Ribbon and adhered it next to the sentiment with a Glue Dot to finish the card front.

I stamped the paintbrush image from the Happy Celebrations stamp set in Pool Party ink twice (stamped the second time without reinking) across a Whisper White panel inside the card.
