I used the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams stamp set to create a clean and simple card to share today.

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #204.

The gold touches on my card were inspired by CAS-ual Fridays CFC165.

I started by coloring a large area with the Bermuda Bay Watercolor Pencil on a panel of Watercolor Paper.  I used an Aqua Painter to add a little water to the area and create a watercolor wash background.

I let the panel dry completely and then stamped the dragonfly image from the Dragonfly Dreams photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark Ink over the watercolored area.  I sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.

I inked the dot image from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the watercolored area near the dragonfly.  I repeated this process until the area was mostly covered.  Then I adhered the watercolor paper panel to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive and then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set on a strip of Whisper White card stock in Soft Suede ink.  I used the banner die from the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies to cut out the sentiment and I coiled Gold Metallic Thread and adhered it to the back of the sentiment banner with Glue Dots.

I adhered the sentiment banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added two gold enamel dots from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card front.

I inked the dragonfly image again in Bermuda Bay ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it across a Whisper White panel three times to finish the inside of the card.
