Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

happy-inkin-thursday-blog-hop-bannerI used the Stampin’ Up! Basket Bunch stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The Easter Bunny on my card was inspired by The Paper Players PP338.

I started by cutting a wide banner from a panel of Succulent Garden DSP.  I adhered the banner to a Thick Whisper White card base with SNAIL and then wrapped a strand of Calypso Coral 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon from the Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit around the card front and I tied a small bow.

I curved the sentiment from the Basket Bunch photopolymer stamp set as I put it on my acrylic block and then I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the sentiment out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die and adhered it with SNAIL to a scalloped circle that I’d cut with a Layering Circles Framelits Die from Calypso Coral card stock.

I stamped the basket, bunny and carrot images from the Basket Bunch stamp set in Basic Gray Archival ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and colored them with Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake inks and a Blender Pen.  I cut the images out with the matching Basket Builder Framelits Dies and adhered the carrots and bunny to the back of the basket with Glue Dots and then adhered the basket to the circle die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the layered circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and carrot images from the Basket Builder stamp set in Calypso Coral and Basic Gray inks and then added a little Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron inks with a Blender Pen on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Adorable bunny. I like the way you used the succulents DSP, keeping it from being Easter-y.
    Check out Jaime’s blog….it is last week’s.

  2. This is super cute! Love the little bunny and carrots in the basket and that carrot on the inside completes the card perfectly. I don’t know how you do it day after day and do it so great everyday! TFS
