Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a feminine theme and I have chosen to to feature the Beautiful You stamp set and the Falling in Love DSP for my project.

The Falling in Love DSP sold out last night, the Succulent Garden DSP pack has some patterns that would work perfectly with this card…just switch up the ink colors to Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron!

The layered stamping on my project was inspired by Just Us Girls #388.

I started by adhering a panel from the Falling In Love DSP to a panel of Sahara Sand card stock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a panel of Sahara Sand card stock twice with the So Detailed Thinlits Dies and I adhered them to the back of the larger Sahara Sand card stock panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful You stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock and then cut it out with a Layering Ovals Framelits Die.  I adhered the panel to a larger Layering Ovals Framelits die cut from Sahara Sand card stock and then to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

For the belly band, I embossed a 1-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ strip of Sahara Sand card stock with the Falling Petals Embossing Folder (I ran it through twice).  I scored the strip at 3″ and again at 7-1/2″ and then used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhered the band together in the back.  I wrapped a strand of Very Vanilla 1/4″ Satin Ribbon around the band and tied a bow.

I stamped the image and sentiment from the Beautiful You stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I stamped the swoosh image from the Beautiful You stamp set in Blushing Bride ink over it and cut the image out with a Stitched Shapes Framlits Die.  I placed the belly band over the closed card and then adhered the oval die cut to the band with Glue Dots so that it was centered over the layered ovals behind it.  I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the top oval to finish the card front.

You can find a complete list of supplies for this project, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. I agree all of this blog is very inspiring. So happy I was able to get the complete set of Falling in Love DSP, So in Love Stamps and So Detailed Thinlits Dies before they were gone. My Anniversary cards this year will be spectacular thanks to Stampin’Up!

  2. Such a pretty card – I’m so glad that stamp set is sticking around for awhile longer 🙂 I stocked up on that gorgeous paper too – thank goodness I was able to get some!
