Stampin’ Up! So In Love for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

happy-inkin-thursday-blog-hop-bannerI used the Stampin’ Up! So In Love stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

The design for my card was inspired by Fusion Card Challenge.

I started by stamping the flower and leaf images from the So in Love stamp set (retiring May 31) in Peekaboo Peach and Pear Pizzazz inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped some full strength and some without reinking.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Pear Pizzazz card stock and then to a Thick Whisper White card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the So in Love stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then I cut it out with the banner die from the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies set.  I adhered the center of the sentiment banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front and the ends with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut the flower with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Die from Peekaboo Peach card stock and adhered it to the sentiment banner with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the leaf images from the Swirly Bird stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut them out with the matching Swirly Scribbles Thinlits die.  I adhered them with Glue Dots under the flower and then added a Pear Pizzazz enamel dot from the Subtles Enamel Shapes pack to the flower center to finish it.

I stamped the sentiment from the So in Love stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink and the flowers in Peekabook Peach and Pear Pizzazz inks (stamped off) on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

  1. Such cheerful colors! I love the layout you used, and I’m so glad I bought that set so I can CASE you 🙂 Those little accent stamps in the set get overlooked sometimes but you really highlighted them in this gorgeous card.

  2. Such a soft beautiful card. I would have never thought of using my stamps to create such a beauty as this. Thank you for sharing.

  3. Love your card Amy. Inking in these colors give is such a different look and I must say, I LOVE IT. Great job, I might have to CASE this design using a different stamp set since I did not order it.

  4. You are SO awesome at using bits and pieces of sets together and they come out do beautifully! Sometimes I get so locked into using the one set exclusively and not think of any others, well except for the sentiments. I love, love the little die cut flower and I’m so excited because I had a little “Amy help” and got it, lol! You continue to open my eyes and inspire me 😉
