Stampin’ Up! Wood Words Sneak Peek

I used the Stampin’ Up! Wood Words stamp set from the upcoming 2017-18 Annual Catalog to create my card to share today.

The regular Demonstrator preorder starts today, I can’t wait to go pick up a few more new goodies to share in the coming weeks!  And right now is a great time to join…you can pick items from the new catalog for your Starter Kit.  Yippee!!  Drop me a note if you have any questions about joining, I’d love to chat with you more!

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #330.

I started inking the flower image from the Wood Words stamp set (available June 1) in Early Espresso ink, stamping it on scrap paper twice and then stamping it across a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack (available June 1).  I repeated this process across the entire lower section of the panel.  I adhered a wide band of Wood Textures DSP over the stamped are and then adhered the panel to a panel of Early Espresso card stock with SNAIL.

I wrapped a strand of the 1/4″ Copper Trim (available June 1) around the panel and tied a bow, then adhered the layered panel to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Wood Words stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, punched it out with the Classic Label Punch and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the rooster in Cherry Cobbler ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the matching Wood Crate Framelits die (available June 1).  I punched a circle from Crushed Curry card stock with the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to Layering Circle die cuts from Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler card stocks.  I adhered the layered image to the card front with SNAIL and then added a Cherry Cobbler enamel dot from the Regals Enamel Shapes pack to finish it.

I inked and stamped off the flower image from the Wood Words stamp set in Early Espresso ink on the bottom of a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Lovely, lovely card. Ordered my goodies today! This set was at the top of the list. Love the red rooster!

  2. oh wow, I am loving that distressed looking designer paper you are using on this card, and the rooster of course, LOL…those two colours together really pop!

  3. I just love everything about your card today Amy! The cool new DSP and the Wood Words….hmmm, definitely got to look for that in the new catty. Is it like a gorgeous grunge sort of stamp? I can tell I’m going to be getting a LOT of new DSP, lol 😉 When are you going to do your shares? 😀
