Stampin’ Up! Season to Sparkle CAS Holiday Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Season to Sparkle stamp set, the Winter Wonder Embossing Folder and a little of the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape from the upcoming 2017 Holiday Catalog to create a clean and simple holiday card to share today.

My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #235.

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Winter Wonder Embossing Folder (available Sept 1).  For a little added stability, I adhered the embossed panel to another solid panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I ran strips of the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape (available Sept 1) across the bottom and down the sides of the panel.

I stamped the sentiment from the Season to Sparkle photopolymer stamp set (available Sept 1) in VersaMark ink on the embossed panel, sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the embossed panel to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a single silver enamel dot from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Season to Sparkle stamp set on a Whisper White card stock panel with Copper Embossing Powder, then added strips of the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape across the bottom on the inside of the card.

  1. Such a simple card, but the added specialty washi tape has a Dramatic effect on it! You have created an Amazing Christmas card, Amy! Love it~

  2. That snowflake is gorgeous. Love your take on the sketch to highlight it.
(Not sure I understand the second piece of white cardstock “for stability.” Just glued/taped it to it? Was it floppy and needed firmer paper? To put dimensionals on?)

    • Thanks Susan! Sorry for the confusion about the second piece of card stock. When I embossed the large area on the Whisper White panel, it wasn’t very “flat” anymore and I was worried that it would look lumpy if I adhered it directly to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. So I adhered a second piece with just SNAIL to make it flatter and easier to adhere. Hope that makes sense. 🙂

      • Thanks. Love that TIEF so good to know to watch for the uneven-ness of it and how to solve it!

      • You are welcome! I don’t think that it will be a problem with the other card stocks and foil papers…Whisper White is pressed so smooth that it is a little thinner than the regular card stock is. It got a little wavy when I embossed it so I added another piece behind it and it worked great!
