Stampin’ Up! Smitten Mittens CAS Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Smitten Mittens stamp set bundle and the Hug in a Mug stamp set to create a clean and simple winter card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Stamp Ink Paper #114.

I started by embossing a panel of Whisper White card stock with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the mitten images from the Smitten Mittens photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on panels of Whisper White and Pool Party card stock.  I sprinkled the images with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I cut the pieces out with the matching Many Mittens Framelits Dies and adhered them together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I tied a small bow from Whisper White Baker’s Twine and adhered it with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the card front.

I adhered one mitten with Glue Dots and the other with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the Baker’s Twine bow.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Hug in a Mug photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I heat embossed it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die.  I adhered it with Glue Dots to the card front and then added a Pool Party enamel heart from the Subtles Enamel Shapes pack to finish it.

I stamped the little mitten images from the Smitten Mitten stamp set in Pool Party ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. Amy, this mitten card is so darn cute. Can’t wait to order this stamp set bundle. Thanks for sharing. Maureen Wheatley

  2. Just adorable! This is one of the cutest sets in the new catalog and I love the colors you used! And the Cable Knit EF is a great background, too! Perfect for our SIP sketch….thanks for playing!

  3. What a fabulous card! Congrats on being a Favorite of the Week at Splitcoast Stampers! (We’re both on the same list.)

  4. Amy, I see your card is also a favorite CAS card at Splitcoast Stampers. I did not know they did a CAS favorite as well as the regular favorites. (Again, we are on the same list!.)
