Stampin’ Up! Season Like Christmas Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Season Like Christmas and Seasonal Lantern stamp sets to create my card to share with you today.

Season Like Christmas - Stamp With Amy K

My card design is based on Freshly Made Sketches #305.

I started by sponging the edges of a panel of Merry Music Specialty DSP with Soft Suede ink.  Then I stamped the two tree images from the Season Like Christmas photopolymer stamp set one on top of the other in Garden Green ink.  I stamped the tree trunk image from the Season Like Christmas stamp set in Soft Suede ink.

I inked up and then stamped the tree images from the Season Like Christmas stamp set  on scrap paper once and then on either side of the first tree in the same colors as stated above.  I let the panel dry completely (you will definitely want to do this…I made a mess of my first one because I tried to rush it!) and then stamped the ornament image from the Season Like Christmas stamp set in VersaMark Ink over the tree (stamped off once for the two side trees).  I sprinkled the images with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.

I adhered the stamped panel to a Soft Suede card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I sponged a small strip of the Merry Music DSP with Soft Suede ink and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I adhered a strand of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon to the card front with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Seasonal Lantern photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a strip of White Vellum card stock, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the sentiment strip to the card front with rolled up Glue Dots hidden under the words, then wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front twice and tied a bow.  I added a single gold star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Season Like Christmas stamp set in VersaMark ink on a Whisper White card stock panel, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I sponged the edges of the panel with Soft Suede ink and then stamped the tree in Garden Green and Soft Suede inks (each stamped on scrap paper once before stamping on the panel) to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Love this card Amy. May I case this card for a class project in November? I think I need to order some supplies. Great card!

  2. Wow! I love this card, Amy! The simple touches like the linen thread and gold star add such a sweetness to this vintage-looking card. Always a pleasure to see you in the gallery at Freshly Made Sketches!

  3. Hi Amy,
Love your beautiful Christmas card, I would like to make this at my card class. How many pieces did you get out of the DSP I’m thinking for the card front, 41/4 X 51/2 . Is that what you did ? Would love to hear your measurements, Thanks so much in advance.
