Stampin’ Up! Ready for Christmas for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Ready for Christmas  stamp set bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I created for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

I started by adhering a panel of Quilted Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the tree image from the Ready for Christmas photopolymer stamp set in Garden Green on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the tree out with the Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies and adhered it with SNAIL to the DSP panel.

I stamped the ornament image twice and the star, dog, table and cookie plate images once from the Ready for Christmas stamp set in Basic Gray Archival Ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the images with a Blender Pen and Real Red, Garden Green, Lemon Lime Twist and Crumb Cake inks, then cut them out with the coordinating Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies.

I adhered the ornaments and star image with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the tree.  I cut the staircase from Crumb Cake card stock with the Christmas Staircase Thinlits Die and adhered it over the panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered table and cookie plate die cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the panel, then added the little puppy with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the “sharing” in the sentiment from the Ready for Christmas stamp set in Real Red ink and stamped it on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cleaned the stamp well and then inked the “the joy” part of the sentiment in Real Red ink and stamped it under the first image.  I punched the sentiment out with the 1-3/8″ Circle Punch and adhered it with SNAIL to a 1-1/2″ Circle Punch from Real Red card stock.  I added the sentiment circle to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the adhered the layered panel to a Garden Green card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment and tree image from the Ready for Christmas stamp set in Real Red and Garden Green inks on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

World Card Making Day Sale – 15% Off Select Items Oct 1-10!

***Stampin’ Up! just shared the following update:

Fast Fuse Offer No Longer Available at this Time

As part of our planned World Card Making Day offer October 1-10, we offered two free Fast Fuse Refills with every purchase of a Fast Fuse Adhesive. This offer was much more popular than we anticipated, and Fast Fuse has since gone on backorder so we will no longer be offering this promotion in North America.

We will bring back the same offer on Fast Fuse for five days within the next few months, after we’re confident we have sufficient Fast Fuse in stock (this five-day offer will be in North America only). In the meantime, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!

World Card Making Day is a day dedicated to doing what you love most—making handmade cards! It celebrates the creativity and personal connection handmade cards create between loved ones.

This year the world celebrates the day on October 7, but one day wasn’t enough for Stampin’ Up!.  For ten days (October 1–10), you get 15% off Notecards & Envelopes and select stamp sets.  Also, when you buy Fast Fuse Adhesive, you’ll get two refills for FREE!  These items will help you celebrate the best hobby of all—cardmaking!
