Stampin’ Up! Half Full Christmas Card for Stamp Ink Paper

I used the Stampin’ Up! At Half Full stamp set and the new Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper theme challenge this week.

Here is the theme for Stamp Ink Paper 124.  Stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

My card was also loosely inspired by the colors and wine glasses in the The Card Concept 81.  I think that my card is clean and layered.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Half Full stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Merry Little Christmas DSP.  If I were to do this over again, I’d have used Basic Black Archival ink to get a darker image.  The Memento ink lightened quite a bit as it dried.  Then I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL.

I adhered a panel from the Be Merry DSP pack to the card front with SNAIL, then wrapped a strand of Old Olive Baker’s Twine around it and tied a bow.  I adhered the layered panel to a Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment.

I stamped the images from the Half Full stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I let the images dry completely and then colored them with the Light Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers and the light and dark Old Olive Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I used the Color Lifter a lot over the Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate coloring to get the pale colors.  I cut the image out with a Layering Ovals Framelits Die and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Half Full stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White card stock panel, then inked and stamped off the wine bottle image in Old Olive ink before stamping it next to the sentiment on the inside of the card.
