Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette for Stamp Ink Paper

I used the Stampin’ Up! Petal Palette stamp set bundle to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper challenge this week.

Here is the challenge badge for Stamp Ink Paper #139.  Hope that you’ll stop by and play along with the challenge too!

My card design was inspired by My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 373.

My card also works for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #TTTC036.  I went diagonal from lower left to upper right.

I started by embossing a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  I punched two strips of Calypso Coral card stock with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch and then adhered them to the back of the Crumb Cake panel with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a Thick Whisper White card base with SNAIL.

I wrapped a strand of Calypso Coral ribbon from the Shimmer Ribbon Pack (Sale-a-bration item) around the card front and adhered it with SNAIL to the center of the card in the area where the sentiment panel would be.  Then I cut a panel of Champagne Foil Sheets with the border die from the Petals & More Framelits Dies.  I cut the border die cut in half and adhered the two pieces with a slight gap between them over the ribbon with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut around it with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die.  I inked the leaves from the Petal Palette stamp set in Old Olive ink, stamped them on scrap paper and then stamped them around the sentiment circle.  I adhered the sentiment circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the flower image from the Petal Palette stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the image with the Light Calypso Coral, Light Daffodil Delight and Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and then cut it out with the coordinating Petals & More Framelits Die.  I adhered the die cut image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the branch and flower images from the Petal Palette stamp set in Old Olive and Calypso Coral inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

You can see a list of supplies, including card stock cuts, to create this project at the very bottom of this blog post.

Stampin’ Blends Potential Backorders

Stampin’ Up! shared the following note with us this morning related to the Stampin’ Blends and the possibility of backorders with long delays:

Since the introduction of Stampin’ Blends in October 2017, our forecasting and planning department has been closely monitoring our Stampin’ Blends inventory and customers’ buying patterns. Over the last couple of months, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in the sales of Stampin’ Blends, which is wonderful—you are buying them, using them, and loving them!

Unfortunately, the quick increase in sales, along with a long lead time from our supplier in China, and the temporary shutdown of all factories in China for the government-mandated Chinese New Year holiday, has created a perfect storm for backorders. In the next coming weeks, we anticipate that approximately 14 of our current 27-color Stampin’ Blends collection will go on backorder:

  • Bermuda Bay (Light and Dark)
  • Bronze
  • Calypso Coral (Dark)
  • Crumb Cake (Light and Dark)
  • Ivory
  • Pink Pirouette (Light and Dark)
  • Pool Party (Light and Dark – currently on backorder)
  • Pumpkin Pie (Dark)
  • Smoky Slate (Light and Dark)

Because of Chinese New Year, we don’t yet have a firm date of when more of these colors will be available, but we anticipate it won’t be until the end of April.

Letting you know of this potential backorder situation could result in our current inventory being depleted even more quickly; however, we wanted to give you the opportunity to purchase your favorite Stampin’ Blends colors before they go on backorder.

So if you are wanting any of those colors of Stampin’ Blends before they go on backorder, get them very soon!  You can see the entire Blends collection in my online store here.
