Stampin’ Up! Sunshine & Rainbow for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “Spring” theme and I’m featuring the Sunshine & Rainbows Birthday stamp set bundle for my project.  I used some spring colors for my rainbow!

The elements on my card were inspired by Tic Tac Toe Challenge #TTTC038.  Either right down the middle or straight across the top row works.  🙂

I started by cutting the rainbow stripes with the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies from Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party and Sweet Sugarplum card stocks.  I used a few pieces of washi tape on the back of the die cut pieces to hold them together while I was assembling the rainbow.

I placed the rainbow die cuts on a panel of Soft Sky card stock and then cut clouds from White Vellum card stock with the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies.  I tucked the vellum clouds under the rainbow and used Glue Dots to adhere them so that they’d be hidden by the rainbow.  I cut the background layer of clouds from Whisper White card stock with the border cloud die from the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies and I adhered it to the Soft Sky card stock panel with SNAIL.  I added some SNAIL to the back of the rainbow die cuts and then tucked one end under the cloud die cut and adhered the other half over the top of it.

I cut another panel of Whisper White card stock with the second cloud border die from the the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies and I stamped the sentiment from the Sunshine & Rainbows photopolymer stamp set on it in Flirty Flamingo ink.  I adhered the die cut cloud order the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhered the Soft Sky panel to a panel of Flirty Flamingo card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered card front to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sun image from the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, cut it out with the matching the Rainbow Builder Framelits Die and adhered it with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the card front.  I added one of the Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins and two Rhinestone Basic Jewels next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the cloud and sun images from the Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set in Pool Party and Daffodil Delight inks on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

  1. If there’s a pot of gold at the end of your rainbow, I’m sure it will be spent on SU products…lol. Very pretty. I have this unused set 🙂 It was another wonderful hop and thank you for the opportunity to be part of it.
