Stampin’ Up! Party Pandas Celebrate Card

I used the Stampin’ Up! Party Pandas stamp set and a little of the Myths & Magic 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper (now available as a FREE Sale-a-bration selection!) to create a quick and fun birthday card to share with you today.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #328.

I started by stamping the panda image from the Party Pandas stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on two Whisper White card stock panels.  I did stamp the image with my Stamparatus (available June 1…unless you were able to preorder yours) so that I could restamp it multiple times to get a nice dark image.  I colored the balloon on one of the images with my Light & Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends and I used the Color Lifter to add a light area in as well.

I used a Layering Squares Framelits die to cut around the second panda image and I adhered it to a panel of Basic Black card stock and then to the card front over the first stamped image with SNAIL.  Then I cut the sentiment from Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper (Sale-a-bration item and regular catalog item) with one of the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies (Sale-a-bration item).

I placed the die cut sentiment on the panel to get a rough idea of the placement, then stamped the sentiment from the Amazing You stamp set (Sale-a-bration item) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink above the sentiment.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with touches of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then adhered the Whisper White card stock panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.

I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then colored three Rhinestone Basic Jewels with my Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends before adhering them randomly over the card front.

I stamped the sentiment and balloon image from the Party Pandas stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and the colored the balloons as described above to finish the inside of the card.
