Stampin’ Up! Sitting Pretty for Fab Friday

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sitting Pretty stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2018-19 Annual Catalog to create my card for the Fab Friday color challenge this week.

Here are the colors for Fab Friday 136.  Hope that you’ll stop by the Fab Friday Challenge Blog and play along too!

My card design was inspired by The Paper Players PP390.

I started by adhering a panel from the Picture Perfect Party 6″ x 6″ DSP (retiring May 31) to a Basic Gray card stock panel with SNAIL and then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Sitting Pretty photopolymer stamp set (available June 1) in Basic Gray Archival Ink (retiring May 31) on a panel of Gray Granite card stock (available June 1) and then I embossed the panel with the die from the Pretty Park Framelits Dies (available June 1).

I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Basic Gray card stock and then to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the outline images for the dog, plant and bench from the Sitting Pretty stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the inside plant images in Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist and the heart image in Lemon Lime Twist ink over the outlines.  I inked the inside image for the dog in Basic Gray ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it over the dog outline.

I stamped the bird image from the Sitting Pretty stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on the Whisper White card stock panel and then used a Blender Pen and Bermuda Bay ink to color it.  I cut the bench, dog, bird and planter images out with the matching Pretty Park Framelits Dies and then snipped around the heart with a wide border.  I adhered the heart to the back of the bench with Glue Dots.  I adhered the planter and bench die cuts with Glue Dots and the dog and bird with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a single silver enamel dot from the Metallic Enamel Shapes pack (retiring May 31) to finish the card front.

I stamped the dog image from the Sitting Pretty stamp set in the same manner as described above on a Whisper White card stock panel inside the card.

  1. I mean like I only have one friend who has a bull dog…do I really want to invest that kind of money into one card? Well, of course, I do silly 😉 I can make more and sell them at the craft fair next year! The dog’s name is Bella…I’ll need to put some “friends” with her. Your card has convinced me that it’s a wise decision and I know you agree whole heartedly.

  2. I don’t care what kind of dog it has, I love them all! What a beautiful bundle. This is the first one on my list to purchase in 4days. I can hardly wait!!!!!! I love this card so much. It didn’t look like you had any trouble at making this card. I give it a thumbs up!

    • Thanks so much! The layout was easy…it was just trying to work in those colors that I had trouble with! 🙂

  3. What a cute little scene you created, Amy! I love the bench, reminds me of something in a cottage garden. Thanks for playing along with us this week at The Paper Players!
