I pulled some inspiration from the 2018-19 Stampin’ Up! Catalog for my card made with the Healing Hugs stamp set. I loved the sample card for this set in the catalog, so I switched a few things up and made my own version of it as a birthday card!
I stated by stamping the leaves from the Healing Hugs stamp set in Granny Apple Green ink on a Thick Whisper White card base. I stamped the little flower sprout image from the Healing Hugs stamp set in Pool Party ink around the leaves. Then I inked the little cross-stitched image from that stamp set in Highland Heather ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it next to the leaves twice.
I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet photopolymer stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Sahara Sand card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it. I adhered the sentiment panel to the card front with SNAIL. Then I wrapped a strand of Silver & Pool Party Baker’s Twine around the card front and tied a bow.
I stamped the flower image from the Healing Hugs stamp set in Mango Melody ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then snipped around the image (I know…fussy cutting TWO days in a row…can you believe it??) and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added three Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins to finish the card front.
I stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set in Gray Granite ink on a Whisper White card stock panel and then added the flower image from the Healing Hugs stamp set in Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green next to it to finish the inside of the card.

a year ago you would have had to totally twist my arm (fingers???) to do any fussy cutting but … BUT … now i sort of enjoy it and am getting a LITTLE better at it. it is relaxing!!! so i have CASEd your lovely card and now the set is on my next order (july 1).

Your card is exquisite. And your rose image is perfect. Any tips on inking the stamp to achieve that wonderful result? I’ve seen some cards where the details of the image were totally lost. I’m debating the purchase of this stamp; I wouldn’t hesitate if I knew my stamped images would turn out as beautiful as yours.
Thanks Doris! All of the cards that I’ve seen with this image look just like mine…I wouldn’t hesitate on getting the set at all. The only tip that I have is to make sure that you’re gently tapping the stamp on the ink pad. If you smash it down into the ink, you will end up with ink all over and the image will likely be all filled in with no definition. Using a light hand worked great for me! 🙂
