Stampin’ Up! Blended Seasons Birthday Card

I used the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Blended Seasons stamp set and the Balloon Celebration stamp set along with some of the new Stampin’ Blends Markers to create a birthday card to share with you today.

My card works for the CAS-ual Fridays CFC203.

I started by adhering a panel from the Wood Textures DSP Stack (on sale Buy 3 Get 1 Free through July 31) to an Early Espresso card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I stamped the flower image from the Blended Seasons stamp set (available Aug 1) in Basic Gray ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I used the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Markers to color the flower image.

It’s a little difficult to see in the photo, but I also took my Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Marker and I traced around the outline of the flower image to give a very slight shadow.  Then I punched two corners of the Whisper White card stock panel with the rounder punch on the Detailed Trio Punch and I adhered the stamped panel with SNAIL to a panel of Granny Apple Green card stock that I’d also punched with the Detailed Trio Punch.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Balloon Celebration photopolymer stamp set in VeraMark ink on a strip of Flirty Flamingo card stock, sprinkled it with Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Emboss Powder from the 2018-2020 In Color Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with SNAIL and then added a Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dot next to the sentiment to finish the card front.

I stamped the images from the Around the Corner photopolymer stamp in Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo and Pineapple Punch inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. That is my favorite stamp in the new, coming-soon stamp set. Your coloring is beautiful. Love the corner rounding too, to soften the base for the flowers.

  2. Amy, you are really blooming with those blend markers! I’m still getting used to them. They are so much juicier than copics (which my friend, Audrey, taught me to use). Beautiful creation! Love the color palette~

    • Thanks Roberta! They are much juicier initially, but once you use them a few times, they’ll work much more like you’re used to with Copics. 🙂

  3. Beautiful flowers, love the soft colors and your embossed sentiment. Thanks for joining CAS-ual Fridays Challenge.

  4. What a beautiful card! Love that sweet embossed sentiment! Beautiful colors and coloring and great shadows! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CAS-ual Fridays!
