Stampin’ Up! Treehouse Adventure for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “celebrate summer” theme and I’m featuring the Treehouse Adventure stamp set for my project.  Nothing says summer more than playing in a treehouse!

My card works for The Paper Players PP400.

I started by adhering a panel from the Wood Textures DSP (on the Buy 3 Get 1 Free DSP sale during July) to a Soft Suede card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered a panel of Mango Melody card stock to the DSP panel with SNAIL.

I stamped the images from the Treehouse Adventure photopolymer stamp set in Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Basic Gray inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  Then I stamped the sun image from the Sunny Days stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink on the panel and colored the image with my Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock with SNAIL and then wrapped a strand of Poppy Parade 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon around the bottom of the card and adhered it with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the ribbon and tied a bow and then adhered the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Treehouse Adventure stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday photopolymer stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I adhered a strip of Wood Textures DSP to the panel to finish the inside of the card.

  1. It’s a great tree house, Amy and I love the wood grain panel on the card base – a perfect match. The librarian in me keeps thinking of Andy Griffiths’s extremely popular tree house story series every time I see this set. It would make a great card to go with one of those books as a boy present. Thank you for joining in with the 400th challenge celebrations at The Paper Players with this fun card.

  2. I saw this stamp set and thought oh, I can wait, but now I want it without waiting, so you can go with Mary as she goes with me to the bankruptcy court and when they ask why I want to file bankruptcy, I will just point at the two of you and say, “because of those two I am broke”. Great card. It is so cute, perfect for a child, but it makes me think of those adult tree houses that are so popular these days that are really houses.

    • Hahahaha! I’ll stand right next to you and tell the judge that I have no idea what you’re talking about. 😉 Glad that you liked my card!

  3. Love this, Amy! What an adorable set and you’ve made such a wonderful summer scene! A glass of lemonade and a good book – and I’ll be set in your shady treehouse! 🙂

  4. I want to play in this treehouse–so cute! Love the colors and the summer scene you’ve created. Thank you for joining our 400th celebration at The Paper Players!

  5. Amy this card is adorable! What a fun treehouse, I love it! Thanks for playing along with our 400th challenge at The Paper Players!
