Stampin’ Up! Stylish Christmas for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Apparently I’ve got Christmas on the brain this week!  I used the Stampin’ Up! Stylish Christmas stamp set to create a clean and simple card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week…I promise that my flower is Berry Burst, even though it doesn’t look like it in the photo!:

I started by inking the flower image from the Stylish Christmas stamp set in Berry Burst ink.  I used a Sponge Dauber with a little bit of Berry Burst ink on it to dab over the image to avoid the over stauration of ink and then stamped it on the front of a Thick Whisper White card base.  Inked the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink, used a Sponge Dauber over them, and then stamped the image next to the flower twice.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stylish Christmas stamp set in Pool Party ink on the card front and then inked the swirl image in Pool Party ink, stamped it on scrap paper and then stamped it around the flower images.

I colored three of the smallest Rhinestones with the Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends Marker and then adhered them over the flower center to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stylish Christmas stamp set in Berry Burst ink and the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card.

  1. Even your clean and simple cards look fancy! This is so beautiful Love the delicate look of those normally-bright colors.

  2. This is stunningly simple, and beautiful, Amy. You always do this…make great cards! And, you used just the correct amount of that, well, you know. It is perfect for this card and the challenge. Love it! I don’t have that set, but it is on my list.
