Stampin’ Up! Above The Clouds Sneak Peek

I used the Stampin’ Up! Above The Clouds stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and the Lift Me Up stamp set and coordinating Up & Away Thinlits dies to create a quick card to share with you today.  I did a video tutorial for making this card on my Facebook page yesterday.  I’ve also uploaded it to my YouTube Channel so you can view it there too!

My card design is very loosely based on CAS(E) this Sketch #318.

I started by stamping the bird image from the Above The Clouds photopolymer stamp set (available June 4) in Soft Suede ink twice on a panel of Seaside Spray card stock (available June 4).  I embossed the panel with the Subtle Embossing Folder and then adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the front of a Seaside Spray card base.

I stamped the hot air balloon images from the Above The Clouds stamp set in Pretty Peacock (available June 4), Purple Posy (available June 4), Rococo Rose (available June 4), Powder Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and Crumb Cake inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then punched them out with the Hot Air Balloon Punch (available June 4).  I adhered the pink and green balloons with Glue Dots and the purple balloon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the cloud images from the Lift Me Up stamp set and the sentiment from the Above The Clouds stamp set in Seaside Spray ink (available June 4) on a panel of Whisper White card stock and then cut them out with the Up & Away Thinlits Dies.  I adhered the two smaller clouds with Glue Dots and the larger one with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots.  I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.

I stamped the images and sentiment from the Above The Clouds stamp set in Seaside Spray, Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose, Purple Posy and Powder Pink inks on a Whisper White card stock panel to finish the inside of the card.

  1. Great card. I am still undecided on this set at the moment. If I get it, it will be way down the list. I do like the new in-colors….much better than the previous ones that are retiring! I like the way you combined the old and the new for this card.
