Stampin’ Up! Soft Spring Congratulations Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I  used the Stampin’ Up! Soft Spring host exclusive stamp set from the upcoming 2019-20 Annual Catalog to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

Here is the sketch that we’re all using…I got quite a lot creative with it.  Yikes, hope that they don’t kick me out of the hop!  😉

I started by cutting a panel of the 2019-2021 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP (available June 4) with one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  I adhered the die cut DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock and then to the Seaside Spray card front (card stock available June 4) with SNAIL.

I stamped the images from the Soft Spring host exclusive stamp set (available June 4) in Gray Granite (stamped off once), Soft Sea Foam, Pretty Peacock (available June 4) and Seaside Spray (available June 4) inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock.  I cut the image out with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die and then adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I stamped the sentiment from the Well Said stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink and cut it out with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die.

I adhered a small piece of the Pretty Peacock 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon (available June 4) to the back of the sentiment die cut with SNAIL, then wound a length of Linen Thread and adhered it to the sentiment with Glue Dots.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added one of the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots (available June 4) and two Rhinestone Basic Jewels around then sentiment to finish it.

I stamped the images from the Soft Spring stamp set in Gray Granite (stamped off once), Soft Sea Foam, Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray inks on a panel of Whisper White card stock to finish the inside of the card.

  1. You are talkin’ my language with this card……one of my favorite shades of blue ever! Gorgeous!

  2. Ha! and I was worried about my creativity!! Guess it’s okay to follow the leader 🙂 I love your card. It’s funny we both picked blue to work with. That paper is gorgeous, your design is wonderful. The layering and the little addition of embellishments really set it off.

    • Hee hee…I did get a little creative. I tried to go with a circle but it cut too much of the pretty flower image off so I stretched the sketch a bit and turned the circle into a rectangle. 😉 Thanks Karen!

  3. What a soft, sweet card. Love the color pallet and that new stamp set. Beautiful Amy

  4. Gorgeous! Love that new blue, and that stamp set is just simply wonderful. And, yes, you did get a LOT creative with the sketch. They will probably disown you! HA! 🙂
