Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Z-Fold Card for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Today I’m joining in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop and we’re all showcasing Stampin’ Up! products to fun fold or fancy fold projects!  I used the Free As A Bird stamp set bundle from the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog to create a Z-Fold card to share with you all.

I started by scoring a 4-1/4″ x 11″ panel of Crumb Cake card stock at 2-3/4″ and again at 5-1/2″.  Then I adhered panels of Bird Ballad DSP (available June 4) to panels of Pool Party card stock and then to the far left side and right side of the card base with SNAIL.

I stamped the flower images from the Free As A Bird stamp set (available June 4) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Whisper White card stock, colored them with Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers and then cut them out with the largest Stitched Nested Labels Die (available June 4).  I adhered the die cut panel to the inside of the card with SNAIL.

I stamped the bird image from the Free As A Bird stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored it with Light and Dark Petal Pink, Old Olive, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers as well as a Light Calypso Coral Stampin Blends Marker.  I cut the image out with the largest Stitched Nested Labels Die and adhered the left side to the left panel of the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Pool Party card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I cut it out with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die and then slid the die cut to the right and lined up the “stitches” and cut the sentiment again to make it a smaller size.

I looped a small length of Linen Thread and tied a knot, then adhered it with Glue Dots to the back of the sentiment die cut.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish it.

  1. This is beautiful Amy, Gorgeous card and I love how you have used the stitched die and made it smaller. Great tip!
